Thanks for the reminder. I wanted to copy old removable 2GB disks in an external Iomega SCSI 2GB Jaz drive and I am having some difficulty with corrupted data. I do not think your software can help me because it seems to copy only the computer's main hard drive.

Kind regards,
Les Shaw

Very nice program, works perfectly. The only option I'm missing is the "sector to sector to disk image" option.

This is not what I was looking for. I initially thought from website description that it would handle sector copies of DVDs, but it doesn't.

hi there,

yesterday i\'ve downloaded EASEUS disk-copy V2.3 and tried it. here\'re some observations:

for backup and restore on WIN/XP i normally use ACRONIS backup & recovery (ABR10) which
is a good product - of course it\'s not for free. due to a bug in ABR10 i\'m currently not
able to produce a sector-by-sector copy of an almost full disk. therefore, i wanted to
give EASEUS a trial...

1. after unpacking the ZIP i got an ISO-image from which i burned a CD. question: why
is EASEUS not running as an image unter WINDOWS (or any other supported OS) ? with a
hex-editor running on WIN/XP i\'m able to access (read + write) all the sectors (blocks)
of a physical disk regardless of its partition structure. therefore, there should be in
principle no reason why EASEUS can\'t run under the control of an OS (apart from having
to compile/link the sources for every supported OS). for me it\'s much more convenient
than having to boot for running the stand-alone EASEUS.

2. the description of EASUS states: \"Free high-speed sector to sector disk copy software
for hard disk.\". well, \"high-speed\" is relative, and i my opinion there\'s some room for
improvement... when backing up a USB-disk with ABR10 on my machine (IBM T61 laptop) i
reach an average transfer-rate of almost 35 MB/sec. EASEUS runs on this machine with a
transfer-rate of 20 MB/sec.

i\'ve been busy in software development for more than 25 years, mostly on VMS (an OS
mostly used for high-end servers) and also on WIN/XP. does EASEUS implement optimization
techniques like multi-buffering (for input and output streams), read-ahead/write-behind
or asynchronous I/O queueing ? i would have had a quick peek to check but i don\'t know
whether or not the sources of EASEUS or publically available.

3. finally here\'s 1 enhancement-request: would it be possible to store the (compressed)
data of a sector-by-sector backup into a file which could be put away for a later restore
one or more target disks ? if i\'ve got it right EASEUS can only do copying of one disk
(or one partition) onto another disk.

thanks & cheers -

I needed to clone a hard disk so that we would have a rplacement drive 'ready and waiting'. Disk copy did exactly that.

This product is great!
At 0 cost gives you a powerful, quick and reliable method to recover and/or extend your HD drive.
Just reboot, launch and attend the copy to finish, switch the drive and the game is over.
For me one of the best products in his IT branch.

Thankyou to those who have left comments about the problems with some CD drives. I had to try two different machines to find a CD drive that would not lock up half way through booting. Once the program is booted the rest is easy and disk copy succeeded in reading all of a failing NT 4.0 server drive that later programs had failed to read. Recommend as a very useful tool, straightforward and gets the job done.

This product was amazing, once I got it to work. Come to find out, my CD drive was so dirty it ruined the first CD I burned. Cleaned it, went back through download, unzip & image copy and it went very well. Hats off!!! The problems had nothing to do with the product. It was GREAT.

This software is as advertised. It works great to copy one disk to another. It replaced Norton Ghost. Doesn't complete the boot sequence unless I open cd tray and close again. Other than that I think it is great.

Works as advertised.
Very Slow - 320MB disc clone takes a little over 2.5 Hours at an average of 2.07GB/Minute transfer rate.

When my hardisk self test imformed me to replace the harddisk ASAP I knew I had to act fast. I was in the middle of a job and could not afford to loose any data,re-install the OS or critical applications. EASUS disk copy saved the day with a new hardsisk installed and a few hours latter my system was fully functional. A brilliant bit of software and a must have.

The program work well to copy the old drive to the new one, but my bad partition (partition contained bad sector; recently i got bad sector in that partition) takes so long time to finished copy. Overall, the program works well. Well done.

never got it to work

It would only load up to the point where you pick a screen resolution. Then nothing I treid them all recomended and the other 3 choices. I was attemting to run it on a toshiba salalite M65-S9063 running XP Home. Sounded good but never had any success with the program sorry. Had to look for some other help. Ended up using a hitachi sector repair on the drive then active disk to get the copy. Swapped out the drive with a new WD an all is well. The hitachi drive is now a portable infomation center for me in an external case and so far it is working only time will tell on that drive. Repair shop said it was bad and needed to be replaced, but it was working in the computer and now out of it for the last month.
thanks anyway and if you have a soultion to the screen thing let me know.

Test did not work

Hi folks, I was hopeful that your product would do a drive copy from a Windows Server 2003 dynamic disk to a new larger drive. When I loaded up your software saw the dynamic disk but I was not able to select it as the source disk. I like the software and was very hopeful it would perform as needed. If I missed something let me know. Thanks Jim Smart

Just plain works

I used this software to perform a full disk backup of a Vista OS after attempting to do so with a couple of other programs. No fanfare, it just performed as advertised. This is a simple program that produces very nice results.

Not Quite Yet :-)

Hi, I haven't tried the software as of yet but want to buy the right software for making backup copies of my Wii games that I knew I would have after Christmas. Is this the correct product for making backup copies that don't have a logo stamped in the middle of my video game copy? I don't mind a screen splash at the intro to validate your software but a streaming logo just won't do so let me know the operational characteristics please and we'll proceed and I can give y'all a review I hope. Thanks, Frank

To get the job done

I had to clone a 120gb hdd to a 250gb replacement for my notebook. The first attempt successfully copied the ntfs and the fat32 partitins but failed on the ext3 partitions. On a second attenpt, after erasing the data on the new drive (by cleaning the partition table) because it was giving error codes when finding data o the drive, I managed to do a working clone of the disk with minimal intervention and only spending a couple of hours (the first disk had only about 10gb free). Very good work and recommended for the job. The Easeus partition manager 3 is a good companion to sort any remaining problem.

Easeus Disk Copy Review

The software worked well. The only issue that I had was that it hung up on a read error from the source disk and I was asleep and did not know until the next morning that it needed human intervention to ignore all errors. I started the copy again and this time I set it up to ignore all read and write errors.

Again when it got about 78% complete it hit the error on the source disk but this time it just logged the read errors it was encountering.

I let it run on for more than an hour but the percentage completed did not change. I canceled the program and tried the cloned disk and it worked okay.

It did the job !

I used EASEUS to clone a small disk (ATA) to a bigger one (ATA too). I first create a CD and then boot on that CD. Then EASEUS started a nice windows-like application wizard and it was really very easy to understand and to take the appropiate action. At the end I was able to generate 2 partitions on the new disk (the first one having the same size as my old disk, and the new partition using the rest of my new disk). The new disk was running on USB2 as an external disk. It took about 3 hours and a half to completely move 35 Giga Bytes. And I think this is really fair compared to some clone utilities running about 2 or 3 days. Finally I reboot on my new disk and it works really good ...

works great

Easeus Disk copy works like a champ. I read some of the reviews on earlier versions[2.0] and with ver. 2.3 encountered none of the problems. Creating a boot cd was a little tricky, and you have to change your bios settings to boot from cd. Aside of that, copying a hd, including the OS, is a breeze. It's fast too. I was able to copy 120 gig in about an hour. A perfect copy. It's free software to boot.

No Good

Program would not recognise my HDDs. I used HD Clone instead. This worked but very slowly. 20+ hours to clone 80GB.
